About chains

The chains have always been a sign of the privileged ones – they belonged to the Roman Patricians, Dukes and Barons. Nowadays a chain plays a necklace role that emphasizes the beauty of women’s neck and men’s style. 

 In the middle of the 20th century, the chains were supposed to be the supplement to different pendants however recently silver and gold chains are being wore as a regular jewellery.  

 A chain – how to use it?

The chains are made of silver and gold, they can be visceral or thin, connected with different segments and made in different styles. This variety, surely, gives a possibility to choose taking into account the buyer’s taste, but there should be some tips taken into consideration: 

-Visceral chains (as well as other jewelleries) can make you look a bit heavy. But thin chains will accent your beauty.

-Thin and thick chain can be worn together but it is recommended to use the jewelleries made of the same metal.  

-A massive necklace with big stones and earrings will be more suitable for special occasions. 

-The chain with the pendant will look great if you wear modest blouse or a jumper with V-neck. If you have lace blouse, we would not recommend to put on necklace, rather use bracelet and earrings.

-If a woman prefers a smart style and business costumes, you will hit the target putting on modest jewelleries that would accent the seriousness – earrings, mini ring, and thin gold chain. If you have to choose a ring, necklace or earrings with the gem, use a diamond.  

The length of the chains

An important thing where you should have to pay attention buying your favourite chains is their length that usually is from 40 to 70 cm. Long chains will look great if they are worn by the elderly persons or the ones with heavy chain.  

    Long chain will visually make your chain and neck areas more elegant and will hide some deficiencies. If you want to emphasize the beauty of a long neck, use tight ties and chains.  

Skin colour

The chains (bracelets), made of gold will look great worn by every girl. If the skin is sun tanned, white and pink gold items will look just perfect. Aristocratic paleness will be accented by chain made of the black gold, especially if there is a diamond. Many colours of skin harmonize well with silver. Besides, silver is suitable if matched with colourful stones, pearls and enamel.

About bracelets

Bracelets appeared in the assortment of the jewelleries a long time ago. In the 19th century not only women were the bearers of the bracelets but men as well, however, they did not wear the bracelet on the wrist. They rather wore them on the forearm. Steal and precious metal bracelets were at the top of fashion peak. The double bracelets that were connected with the chain were very popular as well – one part was put on the forearm but another – on wrist.  

Today, the bracelets are considered as women’s jewelleries. There are big varieties of materials that are used to make bracelets: silver and gold as well as other metals (cooper, bronze, brass, German silver). Sometimes, bones, plastic, glass and other materials are also used.

The watches can be made as bracelets as well, when the dial is fixes into the bracelet.

One or several bracelets can be put on one hand. Eastern ladies put a lot of bracelets on one hand but Western women use similar material bracelets if they put them on one hand besides, they try to have similar styles as well.  

A design of the bracelets can make everyone surprised in a matter of their variety therefore you can easily find that one that would be the most appropriate to you. There are some tips that should be taken into consideration choosing the bracelet:  
- tiny bracelets will look perfectly if put on thin wrist.
- a massive decoration will better look on the chubby wrist.
- Smart clothes match well with metal bracelets.

A pendant can also be suspended to the bracelet. The bracelets with big and durable spans will be appropriate for this reason.

If you want to accent your elegant smart style, use a massive bracelet or earrings. However, do not carry too far – a lady should not have to look like a Christmas tree, she will look vulgar.

Bracelets decorated with one or several stones look very nice. The more stones there are, the more effective you are going to look like but – be aware – we are speaking about the precious metals decorated with gems. To prolong the life of a bracelet follow these simple but useful tips: the jewelleries should have to be kept separately in a special box, take them off before water procedures and protect them from the alkali and acid.  

Chains and bracelets for men.

Young men are the ones who are keen on jewelleries wearing and they mainly are the representatives of music sphere or rockers. The last ones prefer leather decorations with clenches, chains around the necks and wrists, several rings in the ears and fingers, skeletal bones and pins but the hip hopers like chains that  are usually supplemented with the Cross and pendants, massive earrings and rings, bracelets and watches.  

It is typical for nowadays world to conform our individuality and take care of our image, inspiring from different styles – military, pilot, macho, punks, hippies, sailors, western etc. – and choose sometimes only some particular details representing this style.  

The most masculine decoration, of course, is so called soldiers’ dog tag – little plates suspended into the chain with the engraved name, surname and other facts. It is taken over from the military style and therefore it is recommended the men that carry it to be athletic.

There are men who prefer wooden beads and bracelets that come from the decorations made by people practising a natural kind of life. These decorations would be more appropriate if matched with clothes made of natural textiles.
